Every girl, no matter how much of a heel addict, should own a pair of converse. They go with anything from dresses to denim and make each look effortlessly cool. Chucks are one of the few fashion statements from the 80’s that have stayed around without causing cringing and denial. They come in even more handy when you are forced to face the inevitable spring forward and can’t seem to wake your arches up enough to strut in a pair of stilettos. I chose to take Bryan Collins’ stance from “The New Normal” on daylight savings time, “I do not believe in it, it is a myth, how does an hour just magically dissapear?”. Yes, I know the hour does not actually magically dissapear, but it made the thought of it so much more convenient. Unfortunately, AT&T did not agree with me and chose to flash me forward an hour at 2 am, stealing the much needed hour of sleep away from me anyways.
Side note: I cut 6″ off my hair this weekend and I am not regretting the decision in the slightest. Still long but so much more manageable. I no longer find myself getting my hair caught in seatbelts, purse straps or jacket zippers. Fresh cut and color oh what you are able to do for a woman’s beauty rest and confidence.
