Sometimes I am way too much about comfort. Like today for example, converse, soft dress and a messy pile on top of my head… but, for some reason, I thought the red lip helped me seem a bit more put together than I really was. I love DVF dresses for how versatile they are and the fact that you can get away with wearing them with a pair of converse, on days like today, or a pair of heels, on days where I have my act together a bit more. In my day job I have some rather large, very time consuming, projects on the brink of coming together alongside everything else I do on a day to day basis. They have kept my mind from being anywhere other than work, even after hours. So imagine my husband and daughters surprise when I said (in a faux ecstatic voice of course) “Guess what’s for dinner?”, secretly trying to get them excited for what’s to come, “Leftovers!”. They weren’t quite as excited as I had hoped, but really I can’t blame them. Thankfully we had some killer chicken avocado burgers and green beans left over from last night so it wasn’t as bad as it could have been.
