I still remember as a little girl calling into the radio station to wish my mother a “Happy Birthday” over the air. You would give the host the person’s first name and age and they would run down the list of the day’s birthdays on air. My mom stepped into work to her coworkers saying “We heard a Carla’s birthday on the radio. At first we thought it was you until we heard them wish her a ‘Happy 29th Birthday’!”. After which my mom would blush and say “Yep, that was me and that’s my kids.”. You see as a girl you never really go past 29 (a fact I am trying to teach Emma but she is refusing to accept as she keeps talking about how I am another year older). It works a little something like this 29 (the first time), 29 (round 2), 29 (to the third)… and so on; at least in my family! Who knows maybe next year I will look at it differently, after all they say 30 is the new 20! I want to thank you all so much again for being on this journey with me, your comments and emails truly mean so much more than you will ever know and I would ever be able to put into words!

While my birthday is not officially until tomorrow, the 25th, I decided to do the post today since it is a very rare occasion that I post on the weekends.
