…right back to my childhood! I couldn’t deny if I tried how happy I am that overalls are back. I know they are not everyone’s cup of tea but there is something about them that brings me back to sitting on the front steps with my sister, bike rides, and swimming at the public pool. A few years later, as a teenager I would “borrow” my older sister Jan’s clothes constantly. Among the most “thefted” pieces were her Gap overalls, followed by her Dr. Marten sandals (yes, I just said Dr. Marten) and a gray zip up hoodie. Most of the time she never found out, or so I thought… is it too late to plead the fifth?! I do remember one day her following me down the street on my walk to school to take back the aforementioned “stolen goods”. I remember being so angry at her at the time but looking back now I don’t blame her one bit. Thankfully she still loves me today despite unknowingly sharing her closet and we now willingly share pretty much everything. Oh, and these overalls, yes they are mine and I was not chased down the street! Bickering siblings long ago and best friends now, my sisters are truly inspiring and amazing!
