I am not even going to lie, when it comes to my mornings getting Emma ready comes before getting myself ready and making it out the door doesn’t always happen in a timely manner. Le hubs likes to set 3 different alarms to wake him up… gradually (this I will NEVER understand) as I am groggily woken up and fighting to fall back asleep for the entire half hour that the numerous alarms are going off. After which I get up, make the strongest coffee imaginable (yummy) and a much weaker version for le hubs (not so yummy), get Emma ready (which usually entails some sort of intricate braid she wants in her hair for the day), make her lunch, make sure all her homework is packed, somewhere along the way I leave my half drank cup of coffee on a random counter throughout the house because I got sidetracked trying to answer work emails and calls. I always finish my coffee but never hot, with morning chaos usually the second half is consumed at room temperature. Needless to say when I finally get around to doing my hair I like to look put together but I also like easy and fuss free. Sometimes a ponytail or twist looks like just that… easy and lazy!
Just like a piece of jewelry or a bag can make the outfit I think the right hair accessory can take your ‘do to a whole different level. I took Franceluxe.com, L. Erickson line, through my typical weekend activities and while the hairstyles were similar to what I had worn before le hubs thought I had taken a lot more time than I typically do. I was loving the end result (almost more than the Mr) for everything from my office workday/happy hour to date night and the farmers market.
